WellBaby Maternity Program

A Special Program for Expectant Moms

WellBaby Maternity Program gives you helpful tools and information to make healthy choices while pregnant. After all, healthy choices make for a healthier baby. The program helps you better understand and manage your pregnancy. You will get help throughout your pregnancy and for 6 weeks after you have your baby.

Included in the Program:

  • Assessments to help us know how you are doing
  • Access to a health website – for health education information and resources
  • Free book on pregnancy and newborn care – has information on pregnancy, delivery and newborn care
  • CDC immunization chart – current recommended infant immunization schedule
  • Nurse line Support – you will be able to contact a nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • If you have special needs, you will be contacted by a nurse

Medically Indicated Meals (MIM) Program

Fidelis Care Chosen For New Program to Support Healthy Pregnancies

Fidelis Care has been chosen to take part in a NJ FamilyCare program that helps improve pilot outcomes for pregnant members. The Medically Indicated Meals Program supports pregnant NJ FamilyCare members by providing healthy meals at no cost to you. These everyday meals are made with wholesome ingredients and planned by nutrition experts to support you and your baby’s health during pregnancy.


Who Can Join the Program?

  • Are pregnant;
  • Have diabetes before your pregnancy or currently have gestational diabetes; and
  • Have trouble getting enough food.

 

How the Program Helps

Members in the program will get:

  • Healthy meals delivered to their homes;
  • Support from registered dietitians and nutrition coaches; and
  • Info on SNAP and W.I.C benefits.

What is the Medically Indicated Meals Pilot?

The Medically Indicated Meals is a pilot program NJ FamilyCare is running to providemembers with medically tailored meals that are real, everyday foods made withwholesome ingredients and planned by nutrition experts to support you and your baby’shealth during pregnancy.

Who can join this program?

This program is for NJ FamilyCare members who:

  • Are pregnant;
  • Have diabetes before your pregnancy or currently have gestational diabetes; and
  • Have trouble getting enough food.

What services are provided?

Members in the program will get:

  • Special meals delivered right to homes;
  • Meals that respect cultural food needs (vegan, Hispanic, Asian, etc.);
  • Access to registered dietitians and nutrition coaches during pregnancy;
  • Meals during pregnancy and for at least two months after the end of pregnancies.

Why is this program important?

Good nutrition during pregnancy supports the health of both pregnant members and theirbabies. This pilot program hopes to address food insecurity and support a "food asmedicine" approach to care.
